Punisher
TB-MSH-S2-4813
Toy Biz brought Punisher back for Series 2 with a significant upgrade: real machine gun
sounds. The electronic feature is built into the figure itself — press the button and the
weapon fires with a burst of rapid clicking that’s impressively convincing for a toy at this
price point. It’s loud, it’s tactile, and for a character defined by firepower, it’s exactly
the right gimmick.
The black-and-white skull deco is the same stark, recognizable costume as the Series 1
version, though the sculpt here is built around accommodating the sound electronics. Frank
Castle looks suitably grim — no-frills, all business.
Having Punisher in two consecutive waves speaks to how well the character sold. The Series 2
version is the definitive Toy Biz Punisher of the era — complete examples with functioning
electronics are likely harder to find than the figure alone, as battery-dependent sound
mechanisms in toys of this era often stopped working over time.
