Annihilus
TB-MSH-S3-4840
Annihilus was the kind of deep-cut villain choice that signaled Toy Biz was running out
of A-listers and getting more interesting as a result. The lord of the Negative Zone isn’t
a household name, but his design is genuinely arresting — insectoid armor, massive wings,
a cosmically menacing silhouette that looks unlike anything else in the Marvel lineup.
The anti-matter wing thrust action is the standout feature: squeeze the figure’s legs
together and the wings flap upward in a dramatic spread. It’s a satisfying mechanism that
suits the character perfectly — Annihilus is a flying, hovering threat, and the action
feature sells that.
For collectors who’d been following the line since Series 1, Annihilus was a welcome
surprise — proof that Toy Biz wasn’t going to play it safe forever. A genuinely unusual
figure that rewards tracking down.
