Deathlok

Deathlok was another unexpected Series 3 pick — a cyborg character with a cult following
in the comics but not exactly a marquee name for casual toy buyers. The half-man, half-
machine design gave Toy Biz’s sculptors something genuinely different to work with:
exposed mechanical components on one side, deteriorating organic tissue on the other.
The hidden cyber strength gimmick operates on the same squeeze-leg mechanism used throughout
the line — compress the legs and one arm raises in a powered-up punch. It’s functional
without being flashy, which suits Deathlok’s grim, utilitarian aesthetic.
The sculpt reportedly captures the character’s unsettling dual nature — the kind of figure
that rewards closer inspection. A figure
that gets more interesting the closer you look at it.
