Punisher
TB-MSH-S1-006
The Punisher’s inclusion in the very first Marvel Super Heroes wave said a lot about where
the character stood in 1990. Frank Castle was everywhere — his own ongoing series, guest
appearances across the Marvel line, and now a spot on a peg next to Spider-Man and Captain
America. Toy Biz read the room and got him out early.
The figure came armed accordingly: a large cap-firing machine gun was the centerpiece
accessory, producing a satisfying crack when triggered — the kind of feature that guaranteed
this one would be played with constantly and lose its cap roll within a week. A secondary
pistol rounded out the arsenal. The classic black-and-white skull costume is cleanly rendered,
and the skull emblem on the chest is sharp enough to read from across the room.
The sculpt has a no-nonsense, stocky build that fits the character well. No action feature
beyond the cap gun, but none was needed — the Punisher’s whole thing is the hardware, and
Toy Biz gave him enough of it to make the figure feel complete.
