Spider-Man (Multi-Jointed Action Poses)
TB-MSH-S3-4833
The multi-jointed Spider-Man was Toy Biz’s answer to a straightforward question: what
if instead of a gimmick, we just made a really poseable figure? The result is the most
articulated Spider-Man in the series to that point — extra joints at the knees, elbows,
and ankles allow for a wide range of crouching, leaping, and wall-crawling poses that
the standard five-point articulation of most figures couldn’t achieve.
There are no projectiles, no sounds, no action features. The figure just moves well, which
for a character defined by acrobatics and body language turns out to be the right call.
Posed on a wall or in a crouching spider-stance, this version of Spidey reads more
accurately than almost any other in the line.
Among the many Spider-Man variants Toy Biz produced in these years, the multi-jointed
version is the one most likely to satisfy collectors who want a figure that actually looks
like the character in motion.
